Description
The Omega Seamaster here has a 34mm heavy screw-back case and is Omega reference 14704-61 S.C. and and also carries its original Omega Calibre 591, 20 Jewels automatic movement.
The watch overall is in superb condition with no dings or scratches visible to the naked eye. The case retains its original crisp definition with no sign of over polishing. The Seamaster emblem on the case-back is particularly clean and distinct, indicating this watch has seen very little use. The screw-back and new seals all round mean the watch will be particularly resistant to moisture and dust, making the watch movement much more secure against these elements, however, water resistance has not been tested and is not guaranteed as vintage watches should be kept away for water and dust at all times. The case carries its original signed omega winding crown for setting and winding the watch when it has been left for some time and 40 hour power reserve of the movement has run low.
The pearl silver white dial with applied gold faceted batons is complete with original gold Dauphine hands and a gold centre seconds hand. As can be seen, the dial is signed Omega, Automatic, Seamaster and carries the applied gold Omega sign. This is the original dial of this watch which has been restored by one of the best, if not the very best dial restorers in the United Kingdom!
The very high grade movement has been fully dismantled, inspected and serviced using only original Omega parts where necessary. The movement is in particularly fine condition and with regular servicing it ready to provide many more generations of faithful service. Not only this, but following calibration and final testing the movement is now running within +10 seconds per day, which is outstanding for even the best mechanical watches of this age!
The watch is currently fitted with a new high quality dark brown ZRC waterproof Alligator embossed strap with gold plated Omega buckle and is sold with a matching vintage Omega presentation box as shown.
The watch will include our 12 months warranty, our Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee and a Certificate of Authenticity with of course, a fully detailed printed receipt. We will also include our Particulars of Sale document which includes all the above information and photographs and finally an Insurance Valuation, with full details of the watch and photographs, indicating the replacement value of this watch should the worst thing happen and it become lost or seriously damaged.
