The Dial

Mint original Champagne Pearlescent Dial – with raised gold OMEGA logo + name & Automatic at 12 o’clock  –  Seamaster above 6 – Swiss Made at bottom. Raised, applied gold batons with black inserts – the original gold hour, minute and sweep seconds hands are also in very good condition – Omega signed Crystal is in good condition. The Case

Superb lightly polished 9ct solid Gold case with screw down back – measures approx 41mm lug to lug and 34mm diameter not including the Omega signed crown – Inside the case back bears the Omega Watch Co. triangle and name Made in England – Full UK HALLMARKS: 9 .375 the Anchor sign for Birmingham Assay Office and the date letter Q for 1965. Inside of one lug also bears a Hallmark – case numbers 165/6 – 5003 422600 and the casemakers mark A.L.D. for Dennison (UK casemakers for Omega).

The back has the famous Seamaster Hippocampus logo which is in totally original unworn condition – See photos for details of this superb case, especially the Seamaster Hippocampus on the back. This is usually worn to a lesser or greater degree and is often missing completely. Here it is completely unworn.

The Movement

Omega copper-toned calibre 552 Automatic, looks pristine – Twenty Four 24 jewels – serial number 22595568 which places the date of manufacture to circa 1965 – Winds, runs & sets smoothly and is in very good working order, keeping good time – Signed Omega Watch Co Swiss – Twenty Four 24 jewels  – 552

The Strap and Buckle

The watch is complimented with the original OMEGA brown Croc grain leather strap  – Gold plated buckle is also original and signed with the Omega logo – Strap numbered 978-12084

Box and Papers

Both the original white board outer box and red leatherette presentation case are OMEGA signed in good order. The original purchase receipt, the original international guarantee in the original red plastic wallet completes the ensemble. The watch will be supplied with a written receipt and 12 months warranty. A separate written valuation for insurance purposes will also be included.
